Mihály Varga

I grew up in residential area near the capital with a few moves. Now I live in Fót, where I live and create my artworks. My art style changed a lot throughout the years, as I search for myself. Painting, for me, is discovering an unknown terrain.

After high school, I had already decided where to go next. Although I did not admit to an art university at first, I did not give up and applied again, which I succeeded. Therefore, I started my degree at the Hungarian University of Fine Art in 2017 and am still studying there. Although I was initially more focused in graphic design in my university, painting soon became my biggest interest. I am a very enthusiastic person who always hope for the best.

Whispers of Nature: Inspiration of Fine Art

When I started learning fine art, I was inspired by classical artist such as Rembrandt and Piranesi. Now I am more interested in experimenting with different mediums such as oil, printmaking, and polystyrene, rather than using traditional painting technique.

My life has been full of interesting events.Thought I have already learned a lot in my university, I am still always searching for new and interesting ways to improve my artwork. I have tried many things and I am still looking for myself.

Nature is always present in my work. I believe painting nature allows capture the moment. The main elements of my paintings are tres, forests, sky clouds, and birds. When I travel, I always take a lot of photos, which I later use theem to inspire myself. I don’t start my paintings with a solid plan, but I rather let the painting evolve by itself.

My main motivation is to have a quiet life and to make a living from painting. I would like to work with galleries and be part of the artist community in the future while retaining my freedom.
