Scars
Our scars are often not visible. We often take them for granted, rather than being unable to do anything about the hurt and pain we cause. Seen from a distance, this painting is also a soft and inviting blackness, but as one steps closer, one sees the red scars that appear. Perhaps the golden layer here represents healing. Maybe it's acceptance of the wounds of the past. That our wounds are part of us. That our healed or healing wounds are part of our true beauty. I don't know.
Painted with the world's 2nd darkest black paint designed by Stuart Semple and made with original Manetti 23 3/4 carat gold.
